Senior volunteers have the experience to work wonders!
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to help fulfill community needs through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers work anywhere from a few hours a week to full-time. Volunteer opportunities exist in schools, city offices, hospitals, and other nonprofit and public organizations. RSVP offers maximum flexibility ot its volunteers and matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with oppotunities that benefit the entire community.
RSVP is part of Senior Corps, a network of national service programs, that matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities in their community. RSVP is sponsored locally by Elder Services, Inc., and serves Johnson, Iowa, Des Moines, and Muscatine counties.
